BEFORE PROCEEDING PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SCREEN CAREFULLY.
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SECTIONS ON THE PAYROLL SOFTWARE. THE INFORMATION YOU ENTER FOR EACH EMPLOYEE WILL DETERMINE THE PAYE, PRSI & USC THEY WILL PAY DURING THE TAX YEAR.
This section is only used if you have chosen to do a Mid Year Set up i.e. if you start using Thesaurus Payroll Manager mid tax year (other than from the 1st January).
It is important to note that PRSI is not calculated on a cumulative basis and so is therefore not subject to the same checks and balances given to amounts entered each pay period. To that end please ensure that the cumulative details for each employee are correct before proceeding.
MID YEAR SET-UP PROCEDURE
To access this utility go to Process ICON no. 1 OR Employees > Add/Amend employee details > Click Mid Year Cumulatives Tab
Specify the Start Week/Month number for which Thesaurus Payroll Manager is to process as the first pay period
Enter employee's personal details, revenue details etc.
Click Mid Year Cumulatives
Enter Cumulative Taxable Pay (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative PAYE (This employment only)
Enter Employee Cumulative PRSI (This employment only)
Enter Employer Cumulative PRSI (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative Pay for USC (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative USC (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative Pay for EE PRSI (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative Local Property Tax (LPT ) (This employment only)
Enter Cumulative Pension Levy (This employment only)
Enter Notional Pay to date if applicable
Enter Cumulative Pension EE if applicable
Enter Cumulative Pension ER if applicable
Enter Cumulative Taxable Illness Benefit Pay if applicable
Enter Total insurable weeks of employment - This refers to the number of weeks the employee has been paid this tax year in this employment.
Select PRSI classes & enter number of weeks at class
Hit Enter Button - PRSI classes will be transferred to PRSI class summary box
If the PRSI class changed during the tax year follow the procedure above until the weeks at class in the PRSI summary box match the total number of insurable weeks entered.
If an employee has left your employment during the tax year (since 1st January), you should enter cumulative details as above including the date of leaving and week number of leaving.
Click Update to save employee information
Please Note: If the employee has income and deductions from previous employments then this should be entered in Revenue Details, it is only the income and deductions from this employment which should be entered to the Mid Year Cumulatives screen.
