Reversing more than one pay period

REVERSING MORE THAN ONE PAY PERIOD

This utility allows you to cancel more than one update. It is important to note that a consequence of this is that all internal backups relating to the pay frequency being reversed will be deleted. This is necessary to ensure the integrity of your data.

This also means that you will not be able to perform another reverse to a period older than the period you select now.

We therefore recommend that a backup is taken before the reverse is performed in the event that you discover you need to go back further.

To access this utility go to Payslips > Reverse Update

  • Click Reverse Older Update
  • Read the warning carefully
  • Click OK if you wish to continue or cancel to leave this utility
  • Select the week or month you wish to go back to
  • Click Yes to confirm selection

Please note: where you have two pay frequencies in operation, the other pay frequency will not be affected when performing a reverse.

You should also note that if you are using Thesaurus Payroll Manager to keep a memo of employees' holidays and sick leave days, it is important that if you reverse to before the immediately previous payroll period and if, as a result, employees need to be re-input, that you keep the same employee order as previously. Otherwise employees holiday and sick leave memo fields could become interchanged.
